HSSC Part-I: Pre-medical group tops FBISE exams
Overall pass result at 58.85 per cent.

The pre-medical group clinched the top position in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I Annual Examination 2015 conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE).
According to the results announced by the FBISE on Friday, the pre-medical group bagged the top position with a total result of 73.88 per cent followed by 66.69 per cent by the pre-engineering group.
The overall result remained 58.85 per cent. According to the board, a total of 56, 905 students appeared in the examination, of them 33,081 cleared the exam while 23,108 failed.
Of the total candidates, 53,856 appeared as regular and 2,353 as private candidates and their pass result remained 60. 38 per cent and 23.88 per cent respectively.
According to the result gazette, a total of 15,977 candidates including 12,167 male and 3,810 female students appeared in the pre-engineering group and their total result remained 66.69 per cent.
In the pre-medical group, a total of 13,890 candidates including 3,823 male and 10,067 female appeared in the exam and their result remained 73.88 per cent.
In the humanities group, a total of 8,116 candidates appeared in the examination, of them 1,503 were male and 6,613 were female and their passing result remained 52.18 per cent.
In the general science group, a total of 11,839 candidates including 6,976 male and 4,863 female appeared in the exam and their overall result remained 46.26 per cent.
In the commerce group, a total of 4,367 students including 2,988 male and 1,379 female students appeared in the exam and their total result remained 48.81 per cent. Similarly, a total of 1,798 students appeared as private candidates in humanities group and their result remained 23.22 per cent.
In the commerce group, a total 6, 82 students appeared as private candidates, of them 165 were declared pass and the result remained at 25.66 per cent.
