PESHAWAR: Robbers are increasingly using police uniforms and intelligence agencies’ cards to dodge law-enforcement agencies and deceive people across the city. Zakir, a resident of Garhi Qamardin was left critically injured when robbers disguised as policemen stole his vehicle, cash and mobile phone on Wednesday night. Their police uniforms deceived an unsuspecting Zakir who got out of the car. When he realised the gravity of the situation and shouted for help, the robbers shot and injured him before fleeing. Similarly, in Tehkal, Ayaz was stopped by a robber who pretended to be a policeman. He stole Rs200,000 from Ayaz on gunpoint and managed to escape.
