Three injured in school attack
Explosion damaged a wall and two rooms of the school.
PESHAWAR:
At least three people, including two schoolchildren and a teacher, sustained injuries after a timed device targeting a school went off in the Palosai area on the outskirts of the provincial capital on Friday.
A police official of the Tehkal police station told The Express Tribune that the explosion took place at around 11:30 am near the boundary wall of the private Model Collegiate School.
The official said that two students and a teacher sustained injuries as a result. They were taken to the Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH), where they are said to be in stable condition.
The official said that the explosives used in the device weighed around three kilogrammes. He said that the blast damaged two rooms and the school’s boundary wall.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Peshawar Ijaz Ahmed told The Express Tribune that the bomb was apparently planted during the night.
