New facilities: Burn centre at PIMS to have new block: Ibrahim
The stipend and risk allowances of nursing staff would also be increased

ISLAMABAD:
Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Barrister Usman Ibrahim, on Wednesday announced that a new block of the burn centre will be constructed at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims).
He said this while inaugurating the department of public health and digital library at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University.
The minister said he would soon approach the finance ministry for allocation of funds for the construction of phase-II of the centre.
He said Pakistan has showed improvement in all sectors including infrastructure, health, and education under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The present government is paying full attention to improve education and the health sector, he emphasised.
The minister assured the post-graduate students of the university to enhance their stipend after a meeting with the relevant authorities. The stipend and risk allowances of nursing staff would also be increased, he added.
He said school of nursing has also been established at Polyclinic.
Furthermore, the minister said the matter of service structure of post-graduate doctors would be resolved on a priority basis and a committee would also be established to prepare recommendations in this regard.
