Heinous: Child rapist killed in alleged shootout

CIA police said on Wednesday that they had killed a serial child rapist in a shootout in Sheikhupura. Police said the suspect, a resident of Sialkot, was accused of raping at least five children. Police said the suspect was unmarried and was apparently mentally unstable. He had kidnapped and raped at least five girls, between the ages five to seven years from various areas in Lahore and Sheikhupur. Police said the suspect had confessed to having raped five girls and said he had raped several other girls but their families had not filed complaints with the police. CIA Inspector Rana Mukhtar said the five girls had identified him as the rapist. He said on Wednesday, police was taking him to Sheikhupura to identify the places where he had raped the girls. They said he had tried to snatch a rifle from Constable Amjad Ali and tried to escape. He said the police shot and killed him.
