Police action: Kidnapped woman recovered

A member of South Waziristan Scouts was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in South Waziristan Agency on Wednesday.
According to a security official, the bomb went off near Arshad check post in Tiarza tehsil of Sarwakai sub-division, killing an official who was on duty on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Gul Alam Mehsud. Further investigation is under way.
Separately, police have recovered a woman who had been kidnapped in DI Khan. Talking to The Express Tribune on Wednesday, a Cantt police official said Kausar Bibi was abducted on August 9 from Bilalabad.
Rizwan Hussain had filed an FIR at Cantt police station accusing Malik Dad Khan of kidnapping his wife. Police conducted an investigation and recovered the woman from Wanda Muchyan Wala area.
Both Bilalabad and Wanda Muchyan Wala are located near the road connecting DI Khan and Multan.
