Job placement: TEVTA to hire officers to help graduates find jobs

LAHORE:
The Technical Education and Vocation Training Authority (TEVTA) has decided to appoint placement officers at the institute level to help graduates of its various programmes secure jobs in the local industry, TEVTA Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said on Tuesday.  Sheikh said the appointment of placement officers would strengthen the authority’s efforts at securing jobs for its graduates.


He said the officers would report to district placement officers who had been appointed in 20 districts. He said the TEVTA intended to place 60,000 graduates with industries this year. Sheikh said seven other placement officers had been assigned the task to identify vacancies in industrial zones like Sundar Industrial Estate, Quaid-i-Azam Industrial Estate, Gulberg Industrial Estate, Sheikhupura Road Industrial Estate and Ferozepur Industrial Estate.
