To the gallows: Black warrants issued for murder convict
They shot his wife and daughter on showing resistance
KARACHI:
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued death warrants for a prisoner on Tuesday, for murdering a mother and her child during a robbery in 1998. The warrants were issued after the convict's plea for pardon by the victims' family was disposed of by the Sindh High Court recently. Shahid alias Shahidi and his accomplice Khan Muhammad, who was executed earlier, were given capital punishment by an ATC after they were found guilty of killing a policeman's wife and his nine-year-old daughter during a robbery in the Old City area. According to the prosecution, the convicts robbed gold, cash and other valuables from the police officer's house. They shot his wife and daughter on showing resistance.
