Christian community's role in development of federal capital lauded.

ISLAMABAD:
Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Imtiaz Inayat Elahi lauded Christian community’s role in development of the federal capital.

He was speaking at Christmas celebrations’ gathering here at Aabpara Community Centre on Wednesday night. CDA organised the event in collaboration with the United Christian Fellowship (UCF). A large number of school children participated in the traditional celebrations. Elahi said, “Christian community deserves appreciation for the services its members are rendering to keep the city in a tidy condition. They have played a pivotal role in the development of the federal capital.” The function was addressed by the Christian community clerics and office-bearers of UCF.

As the capital completes 50 years of its establishment in 2010, the efforts of Christian Community stand tall and would be acknowledged during the Golden Jubilee Celebrations (1960 - 2010) of Islamabad, officials said at the ceremony.
