No discrimination: Development funds being distributed fairly, says minister
Provincial Minister said Rs10.82 billion had been allocated for the provision of free medicines at public hospitals

Excise and Taxation Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said on Monday the government had fairly distributed funds for development projects.
Speaking to various delegations, he said the government was using available resources to provide better healthcare services to people. Modern healthcare institutions are being set up across the province, he said.
He said low-income people could not afford the treatment of hepatitis. “The government is, therefore, establishing a state-of-the-art kidney and liver institute and research centre at a cost of Rs3 billion in Lahore,” the minister said.
Rehman said an incentives package of Rs1.41 billion had been provided for specialist doctors serving at THQ and DHQ hospitals. He said Rs10.82 billion had been allocated for the provision of free medicines at public hospitals.
