If peace prevails, I will go to Pakistan myself with a bat and ball: BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur
Indian cricket board's secretary says firing along LoC hampers cricket between the two neighbouring countries
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Anurag Thakur voiced his concern over the firing altercation between Pakistan and India in the Nakial sector and stated that 'cricket and terrorism' cannot go hand-in-hand, reported Press Trust of India.
"Peace on the borders is essential for a cricket match between India and Pakistan and no cricket match is possible under the shadow of unprovoked firing and bombardment at the border," said Thakur while interacting with the media.

"How can people from both countries enjoy a cricket match when firing and bombardment is continuing at the border?" he asked as he called for presence of a stable environment before scheduling cricket matches between the two nations.
Earlier this month, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Shahryar Khan, said that he was hopeful that the BCCI will honour the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Pakistan to play a series.
“We hope India honours the agreement. If they don’t, it would not be good.”
