Raids: Thirteen suspects held, narcotics seized

The Rawalpindi police have arrested 13 suspects and recovered liquor, narcotics and weapons from their possession, said a police spokesman on Sunday. The RA Bazaar police arrested Jabbar and recovered 250 grams of hashish from his possession. The Saddar Bairuni police arrested Shahzad and recovered 525 grams of hashish from him. The Rata Amral police nabbed Sabir and recovered 10 litre liquor from his possession. In another case, the Pirwadhi police arrested Javed and recovered 10 litre liquor from his possession. The same police arrested an alleged gambler and sized Rs1400 stake money from him. The Waris Khan police arrested Ibrahim and recovered 10 litre liquor from his possession. The police also arrested Abdul Basit and recovered a 30-bore pistol and 3 bullets from him. The Cantt police arrested two suspects, Mumtaz and Abdul Rehman, for possessing firecrackers. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects.
