Two people were shot dead by robbers on Saturday.
Yasir, 27, was shot dead by unidentified men in Iqbal Town at his mobile-phone shop. “He was at his shop when two gunmen tried to rob him. When he put up resistance, the robbers shot him several times and fled,” police said. Yasir was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Separately, Kashif, 25, was shot dead in Ravi Road area. Police said he was on his way to work when two gunmen riding a bike stopped him. They told him to hand over his mobile phone and cash. “They shot him on resistance. He was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead,” police said.
Ravi Road Investigation Officer Abdul Majeed said police had collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of eyewitnesses.
