Police arrest 10 on various charges

As many as 10 outlaws were arrested by the capital police across the city as part of heightened surveillance on the Independence Day weekend, said a police spokesperson.


Koral police arrested Noor Rehman and recovered 1.345 kilogrammes of hashish from his possession. Police also arrested Muhammad Hussain and Sher Afzal, recovering illegal weapons and ammunition from them.


Police in Sihala arrested Muhammad Zubair and recovered a 30-bore illegal pistol and ammunition from him.

The Lohi Bher police arrested Danyal Khan and seized one Kalashnikov and ammunition. Police in Karachi Company arrested Wilson Masih and confiscated 17 litres of wine from him.

Sabzi Mandi police arrested two suspected thieves, identified as Shan Ali and Zahar Shah. Officials recovered stolen property from them as well. The Khanna police arrested Muhammad Rizwan and Mohsin Khan, who were said to be illegally filling gas cylinders.

Cases have been registered against the arrested persons, and investigations are under way. SSP Operations Sajid Kiyani appealed to citizens to report any suspicious activity to the police.
