Pakistan's success in war on terror acknowledged worldwide: Information minister

Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said that the government has achieved major successes in the war on terror as well as on the economic front, Radio Pakistan reported. 

"World leaders are also recognising Pakistan's efforts in eliminating terrorism from its soil," Rashid stated while pointing out that the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko also lauded Pakistan's bid on eradicating terrorism.

"The situation in Karachi and Balochistan has improved significantly which allowed the people to celebrate Independence Day with full zeal and enthusiasm, this year," he added.

Further, the minister said that some of the world's leading journal and financial institutions are recognising Pakistan's achievements on the economic front as the country's foreign exchange reserves have reached record level along with inflation reducing to single digit.

"Our stock market is being ranked in the world's best performing markets," Rashid concluded.
