Dismissal: Reshuffle in police department

Six SHOs and around 14 head muharirs were transferred to various police stations of the Malir district

Around six police station chiefs and 14 head muharirs were transferred from their posts while a dozen SHOs and police men were dismissed from service, on Tuesday.  


Six SHOs and around 14 head muharirs were transferred to various police stations of the Malir district and were directed to report to their district police chief. Those transferred include Ibrahim Hyderi police station SHO Naik Muhammad Jakhrani, Shah Latif SHO Arshad Awan, Memon Goth SHO Jan Muhammad Hamdani, Gadap City SHO Khan Nawaz, Malir City SHO Zawar Hussain and Malir Cantt SHO Irshad Gabol.


Meanwhile, over a dozen SHOs and 50 other policemen from West and East district were removed from their posts, dismissed and terminated from their service for misuse of power, dereliction of duty, corruption, involvement in unlawful activities and for having links with criminals.

These steps were taken on the basis of an inquiry report produced before an apex committee and another report that was prepared by the then Rapid Response Force DIG Dr Aftab Pathan.

While holding a meeting with the senior police officials on Tuesday, Sindh IG Ghulam Hyder Jamali said that the policemen who have been dismissed or reinstated should not be given important responsibilities and should not be posted to police stations.
