At least one person was killed and 12 others injured when a fire engulfed a plaza in Lahore's Ichra area on Tuesday, Express News reported.
According to initial reports, the fire was triggered by a short circuit, and as wires caught fire, smoke engulfed the seven-storey building.
“A man who jumped out of a window of the plaza succumbed to his injuries,” a police source told the Express News.

Rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly and at least 60 people were evacuated from the building.

Meanwhile, the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
