Earlier in January, the former bassist for the band, Shehzad or ‘Shahi’ Hasan, had released the teaser for 'Chaand Sitaara'.
The former musicians, who had brought such timeless classic songs such as Dil Dil Pakistan and Hum Hain Pakistani, had promised a new 'national' song for the people of Pakistan.
“This is an official teaser for Chand Sitara, an upcoming song & video from the members of Vital Signs, Junoon and Shoaib Mansoor,” Shahi had posted on his page.
He said it was a step towards unification of Pakistan, which is why why the members of Vital Signs and Junoon and Shoaib Mansoor had united.
“The story of Chand Sitara reflects the brighter days of yesterday, the struggles of today and the promise of a better tomorrow through unity and courage,” the Facebook post said.
“Lets bring those peaceful, progressive times back...When the songs had a meaning, when our sportsmen were the champions, when a road led to a destination. Those times are not far, only if we decide to contribute individually however we can!”
