SRI KOT:
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said it is ironic that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, who had earlier criticised parliament for being illegitimate, is now begging for votes to win a seat for his party.

“On August 13, he left Lahore to invade the Parliament House in Islamabad. Now he is in Haripur, along with his family, to get his party candidate elected for the same parliament,” he said.

The minister added that the people of Hazara voted for Pakistan in the 1947 referendum and on August 16 this year, they will vote for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML N).  “The people of Haripur will vote for PML-N candidate Babar Nawaz Khan. Every ballot box at every polling station will be filled with ballots with stamps on the symbol of the tiger."

Rashid said PML-N is the only party courageous enough to tell the truth to the masses. "We admit that people are facing many problems. However, the country has now been put on right track by the PML-N government.”

He said cheap electricity and a network of highways are needed for progress and development. “This will help industries flourish, while farmers will be able to transport their produce to markets in time.”

He added that the people of country know Pakistan will make progress when the PML N is in power as only Nawaz Sharif can resolve the power crisis and establish a road network. “The people of Sri Kot have to decide if they want to support those who damaged the country through their 126-day sit in or the PML N which was striving to make Pakistan a regional economic power.”
