You might spend all your time looking for, and spending on formal gowns and super trendy midi skirts, but you can’t forget about the casual essentials.

Sometimes, all we need is to go back to the basics and prioritise comfort over primped-up fashion. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to compromise on style. These stars prove that lax styles can exude as much class and technique as formal-wear.

On Wednesday, Eva was spotted leaving her restaurant Beso’s dressed in a comfy fashion. The Desperate Housewives diva appeared in good spirits as she flashed a beaming smile and waved at customers and bystanders. The actor covered her slender frame in a pink zipper jacket, a black tank top and loose-fitted grey sweat pants. The actor-turned-producer went for coziness over style as she rounded up her casual look with black flip flops. She wore her long brunette locks in loose waves and styled her flawless skin tone with luminous makeup. Talk about being a head turner.

Benedict Cumberbatch



Looking slightly unkempt yet casually stylish this Thursday, the Star Trek star looked effortlessly cool. With his wavy hair slightly disheveled and a warm beverage in his hand, the actor sported a low-key outfit for his stroll around London. Teaming a lax navy blue jacket with a pair of dark chino pants, Benedict looked a far-cry from his famous roles as the serious yet mischievous Sherlock Holmes or slick psychopath, Khan. If he was feeling any signs of exhaustion from his shoots and theatre stints, he didn’t show it, throwing on a pair of classic-vintage ray-bans and looking oh-so-chic.

Salma Hayek



For Thursday’s outing to promote her film, The Prophet, Salma beamed in the navy blouse embossed in rosy lipstick tubes and rocked a loose bow tie. She impeccably mismatched styles with passé creased slacks and boho chic round sunglasses. And below her pins, the star wore a pair of eye-catching red stilettos. While she left her hotel in New York, the sultry actor left her lustrous brown locks loose and carried a red juice. Everything about her look was spot on, from the silky accents of her blouse to her Emm Kuo clutch. Her look was breathtaking.
