Return of Khyber Agency TDPs to begin from Monday
China to provide $10 million to Pakistan for rehabilitation of TDPS, says finance minister

Monday will mark the day temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) belonging to Malik Din Khel tribe of Bara, Khyber Agency return home, Radio Pakistan reported.
"The return of TDPs of the Malik Din Khel tribe to their homes will be completed by September 5," sources in the FATA Disaster Management Authority said.
While the federal government is providing ration for six months, and Rs35,000 as assistance to each displaced family, TDPs of Bara are currently residing at Jalozai camp, Nowhsera, and in different areas of Khyber Agency.
Earlier this month, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said China would provide $10 million to Pakistan for rehabilitation of TDPS.
While chairing a meeting in Islamabad, Dar said the government was paying complete attention to the rehabilitation of IDPs.

Secretary Economic Affairs Division Saleem Sethi briefed the meeting about arrangements for rehabilitation of the displaced.
Dar also sought details of development projects being executed in Fata in cooperation with the Chinese government. He also called for speeding up work on projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Meanwhile, the World Bank has also committed to deliver $75 million it promised to help the TDPs in the continuing month.
Last month, Dar called on Army chief General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters to discuss issues related to early return of TDPs and their resettlement. The meeting held at GHQ also discussed the execution of development works in Fata.
