KDA shuts down Sindbad amusement park in Karachi
The park was teeming with visitors when the authorities started evacuating it

The Karachi Development Authority sealed shut the Sindbad amusement park in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi on Friday evening.
According to initial reports, the park's 10 year contract for commercial activity had ended. With no renewal the KDA proceeded the shut down the park.
The park still had visitors when the authorities showed up. All visitors were subsequently asked to leave the park.

Located in Gulshan, the park attracts a lot of people with a larger crowd on weekends compared to weekdays.

It is not clear whether the contract will be renewed or whether the park will have to shift to a new location.
According to details, KDA had provided Sindbabd the land for commercial purposes for 10 years, despite the land being an amenity plot.
