Renewable energy: Sindh govt establishes power projects

It was decided that 42,000 acres of land will be allotted for the project

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to establish renewable energy power projects in seven districts, including Thatta, Jamshoro, Larkana, Sukkur, Tharparkar , Matiari and Sanghar. This was decided in a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the CM house on Friday. It was decided that 42,000 acres of land will be allotted for the project. Shah constituted a committee comprising representatives of the Board of Revenue, energy department and technocrats. The members were directed to fix a criteria to determine the size of land with a measurable bench mark, before the allotment, to facilitate the investors. Shah ordered the officers to expedite this process and allot the land to investors within 15 days.
