Food Regulations: Crackdown against eateries continues

Hasni Hussaini Restaurant near Sherpao Bridge was sealed after rats and flies were found there

LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed several restaurants and eateries across the city on Thursday. A Gulberg Town team of the PFA sealed Hsin Kuang Chinese Restaurant over poor hygiene. Cockroaches, stagnant water and expired soup paste were found at the restaurant’s kitchen. Hasni Hussaini Restaurant near Sherpao Bridge was sealed after rats and flies were found there. The Samanabad Town team sealed Malik Restaurant in Ayyubia Market for poor cleanliness arrangements and after workers their failed to produce health certificates. The authority sealed Mama Sweets on Wahdat Road, Naimat-i-Sheerin in Shahdara Town and KFC in Singhpura for a violation of food regulations. Khalifa Bakery, Salman Sweets, Allah Hu Restaurant near Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, New Paradise Restaurant, Hafiz Fast Food, a juice shop on The Mall and Kings Fri Chicks in Daroghawala were sealed for poor hygiene. The authority also disposed of 160 litres of substandard milk seized from milk vendors.
