Over dispute: Man gunned down

JAMRUD: Haji Akbar Afridi was shot dead whereas his brother Abdullah Shah was injured in a firing incident in Shah Zaman Kalay, Jamrud, Khyber Agency. Political administration filed a case against the accused Aftab Ali. He was said to have had a monetary dispute with the deceased and his brother. Separately, the political administration foiled a drug smuggling bid. Khasadar official Misra Khan Meenakhel said 20 kilogrammes of hashish were recovered from a vehicle during routine checking at Takhta Beg checkpoint. The driver of the car was arrested. Further investigation is under way.
