Two young women killed in road crash

LAHORE:

Two young women were killed and another woman injured after being hit by a speeding car in Garden Town.

According to officials, the accident occurred due to reckless driving, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Maida and 22-year-old Sonia.

Garden Town police registered a case against two suspects, Ateeq and Abdullah. The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Sonia's father Muhammad Yousaf.

Model Town SP Shehrbano Naqvi said both nominated suspects were arrested immediately after the incident. She said the accident had been caused by speeding.

The bodies were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities, after which they were handed over to the family.
