Kabul version: Ghani never held Pakistani ID, says consulate

“The Consulate contradicts the news report which is completely false,” stated the consulate

QUETTA: The Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Quetta on Wednesday refuted reports claiming that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and the late freedom fighter Ahmed Shah Massoud held Pakistani identity cards. “The statement of Malik Dilmurad Hasani, member District Council Chagai, is baseless and a complete fabrication on his part,” it said in a statement. The statement further stated that the fact needs to be verified. “The Consulate contradicts the news report which is completely false,” stated the consulate.
