No reshuffle: ECP bans officers’ transfers in Sindh
ECP also appointed district returning officers for each of the 29 districts in the province on July 24
HYDERABAD:
The provincial Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) banned the transfer and postings of government officers who have been appointed as returning officers and assistant returning officers for the upcoming local government elections. According to a handout of the Sindh information department, only the ECP can allow a transfer on a special case basis. On July 10, the ECP appointed 316 returning officers and 551 assistant returning officers for the entire province. It also appointed district returning officers for each of the 29 districts in the province on July 24.
