Evacuate immediately: Flood warning issued in Kalore Kot

Water inflow at Chasma barrage hit 644,000 cusecs on Wednesday, with the flood entering Jadda village of Kalore Kot tehsil.
A flood warning was issued in the district. In a statement, DCO Ahmad Mustajab Karamat said evacuations from villages had begun.
“We have been monitoring water levels for a few days and planning to deal with a flood emergency accordingly,” he said.
He said machinery had been moved to strengthen dykes.

He was told that Rescue 1122 had four boats and 200 life jackets to evacuate stranded villagers. He was told that 150 relief camps had been set up.
