Honouring sacrifices: Youm-e-Shuhada observed
Prayer ceremonies, seminars held in different districts.

With the week-long ceremonies coming to an end, Youm-e-Shuhada was observed to honour the sacrifices of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police officials who died in the line of duty. Prayer ceremonies, blood donation camps and seminars were held across the province on Tuesday.
Frontier Foundation Welfare Hospital set up a blood donation camp at Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines in the provincial capital. A large number of top cops and other police personnel donated blood for children suffering from various blood diseases and paid rich tributes to their martyred colleagues.
Charsadda DPO Shafiullah Khan and other officials laid floral wreaths on graves of martyred police officials, including DSP Bahadur Khan, SHO Jahangir Khan to mark their services in the war against militancy. A seminar was held in Charsadda police lines where a number of political leaders participated. Events and parades were held in other districts as well.
An event was also held in Aloch, Poran tehsil in Shangla. Addressing the participants, Shangla DPO Faisal Shehzad, MPA Dr Ibadullah and others said the residents of Shangla owe a lot to the policemen who sacrificed for their cause.
Meanwhile in DI Khan, a parade was organised to mark Youm-e-Shuhada. The event was attended by DIG Abdul Ghafoor Afridi, DPO Sadiq Baloch and several other police officers. Moreover, two social activists’ groups, Ihsas Volunteers and Awaz Forum, conducted a rally in honour of the martyrs.
Hangu police also organised a ceremony to mark the day in the district. DPO Anwar Saeed Kundi said the force is at the forefront of the war and will never hesitate from rendering sacrifices for the security of the people. Rich tributes were paid to 11 martyrs of the police force in Karak. A gathering was also held in Swabi where floral wreaths were laid on the graves of the martyrs.
