In another case, ATC also issues non-bailable warrants for five policemen in an explosives substances case
KARACHI:
Two anti-terrorism courts (ATC) issued non-bailable warrants for 11 police officers on Tuesday. The policemen have failed to appear before the court to record their statements in an on-going murder trial and an explosives case.
The murder case, in question, of policeman Raj Muhammad, who was assassinated during a targeted raid against Uzair Baloch and other leaders of the now defunct Peoples Amn Committee (PAC) three years ago. Since the last few hearings, the case has been lingering on as neither the investigating officer, Behzad Ali, nor the other four witnesses, all of them police officers, have appeared before the court to record their statements.
