The District Health Department staffers staged a walk to raise awareness about dengue here on Sunday.
District Health Officer Dr Rafique Ahmed said a notice was issued by the Punjab Government announcing cancellation of Sunday as a holiday, instructing all health department officials to participate in the anti-dengue drive and walk.
Meanwhile, a three-day anti-dengue campaign being carried out at government schools in the province concluded on Sunday. Despite the ongoing summer holidays at schools, the Punjab Education Department officials participated in the campaign.

Last month, special monitoring teams, senior headmasters and staff of all schools in the Punjab were directed by the provincial government to participate in anti-dengue campaign during all the five Eid holidays.
