Finance minister says government paying complete attention for rehabilitation of the displaced

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday said that China will provide $10 million to Pakistan for rehabilitation of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs), Radio Pakistan reported.
While chairing a meeting in Islamabad, Dar said the government was paying complete attention to the rehabilitation of IDPs.
Secretary Economic Affairs Division Saleem Sethi briefed the meeting about arrangements for rehabilitation of the displaced.

Dar also sought details of development projects being executed in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) in cooperation with the Chinese government. He also called for speeding up work on projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
Meanwhile, the World Bank (WB) has also committed to deliver $75 million it promised to help the TDPs in the continuing month.
Last month, Dar called on Army chief General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters to discuss issues related to early return of TDPs and their resettlement. The meeting held at GHQ also discussed the execution of development works in FATA.
