Bollywood actor and owner of Kolkata Knight Riders Shah Rukh Khan can now enter that Wankhede Stadium as the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Sunday lifted a five-year ban on him.

A five-year ban was imposed on King Khan following an incident in May 2012. According to Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh was involved in a fracas with a security guard and MCA officials following an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between KKR and Mumbai Indians in 2012. The actor was banned from entering the stadium since then.

SRK allegedly abused and manhandled guards after they prevented him from forcefully making his way into the grounds.

However, refuting the allegations SRK has said he and his children were "physically manhandled in the name of security" by guards which caused the actor to react in anger.

Last year during IPL's final, MCA was considering to temporarily lift the ban on the actor. The match was scheduled to take place in Mumbai, the home ground of the 2013 IPL champions, but was moved to Bangalore in a surprise decision by the BCCI.
