Ceasefire Violations: BSF opens fire on border villages

No loss of life or any injury was reported

SIALKOT:
India’s  Border Security Forces (BSF) on Saturday resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on border villages in Bajwat sector of Sialkot Working Boundary, damaging many houses. However, no loss of life or any injury was reported. According to senior officials of Punjab Rangers, Indian soldiers targeted the civilian population in Bajwat sector with small and big weapons early Saturday morning. Punjab Rangers retaliated in an effective manner, silencing the Indian guns, the officials said. Meanwhile, local people said that BSF also fired mortar shells that damaged several houses.
