A week-long refresher course concluded at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) on Saturday. Addressing the concluding ceremony, FJA Director General Fakhar Hayat said it was the fundamental duty of prosecutors, who are agents of justice in criminal justice system, to sift out truth during prosecution to ensure justice.



The course titled “Role of Prosecutors in Quick Disposal of Criminal Cases” was a blend of theory and applied practices.


He said it is responsibility of the state to investigate and prosecute criminals efficiently.


Hayat, chief guest of the ceremony, said that a prosecutor must be impartial, fair and truthful. He urged the participants of the course to discharge their duties fairly and fearlessly, with a full sense of responsibility and professional ethics.


“Training and knowledge are essential for effective performance in all walks of life,” he said to the participants. He urged them to apply the knowledge acquired during this refresher course.
