Week-On-Week: SPI rises 0.16%
During the week, average prices of 12 items fell in a selected basket of goods

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended July 30 registered an increase of 0.16% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the group stood at 206.36 points against 206.04 points in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group rose 0.15% from 215.26 points in the previous week to 215.59 in the week under review. Compared to the corresponding week of last year, the SPI for the combined income group fell 1.57%. During the week, average prices of 12 items fell in a selected basket of goods, prices of another 12 items rose and rates of remaining 29 goods recorded no change.
