Much-needed: Over Rs500m released for road repair

Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed has also been informed about the allocations through a letter

RAWALPINDI:
The Punjab Highways Department has released over Rs500 million for repairing and overhauling roads including the Kashmir Road leading up to Murree. Of the funds, Rs9.779 million has been allocated for repairing the Kashmir Road leading up to Murree, Rs0.197 million for erecting fences along treacherous curves and Rs46.876 million has been allocated for the construction and renovation of Chitta Mor, Java Road. An official at the highway department said that Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed has also been informed about the allocations through a letter.
