Hindering promotion: PHC questions training requirement

A Peshawar High Court bench of Justice Irshad Qaiser and Justice Roohul Amin Khan questioned why the promotion of Provincial Management Services (PMS) officers was contingent on training. The bench issued a notice to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary, secretary establishment and director general of the Pakistan Provincial Service Academy, asking them to explain the six-month training condition for promotion of PMS officers. PMS Association President Sajid Jadoon, along with 38 officers, had filed a petition against the aforementioned respondents.
