Two suspected militants killed, 11 held in Balochistan operation
FC spokesperson says commander of Lashkar-e-Balochistan, along with another man, was killed in exchange of fire

At least two terrorists, including a commander of a banned militant organisation, were killed in Wadh area of Khuzdar district while 11 suspected militants were rounded up during search operations in different parts of Balochistan on Thursday.
“Security agencies carried out a search operation following a tip off,” a Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan spokesperson told The Express Tribune.

“A commander of banned Lashkar-e-Balochistan, along with another man, was killed and a security official was injured in an exchange of fire with the militants,” the spokesperson said, adding that the FC also recovered four SMGs with several rounds from their possession.
11 rounded up from parts of Balochistan
Meanwhile, as many as 11 suspected militants were arrested from different parts of Balochistan, including Panjgur and Quetta during a search operation on Thursday.
According to reports, seven of the militants were arrested from Tusp area of Panjgur district.
“Seven militants were arrested in search operation,” FC spokesperson told The Express Tribune and added that the security forces also recovered Kalashnikovs with two magazine and 45 rounds besides fake passport IDs and armed licences from their possession.

Further, two other suspected militants were arrested in a search operation in Government Science Collage Quetta. The suspects were being questioned for further information.
Furthermore, FC arrested two injured militants after exchange of fire in Joudhar area of Panjgur district.
Security personnel signalled a suspected vehicle at Joudhar check post but it did not stop and opened fire on the force, prompting a retaliatory fire from the FC which led to the arrest of the militant in injured condition, the spokesperson said.
One RPG with two magazines and SMG rounds were also recovered from their possession, he added.
Two bodies found in Turbat, Quetta
Two dead bodies, including that of a child, were found in Quetta and Turbat on Thursday.
The dead body of eight-year-old Zakir Ahmed, son of Muhammad Hafif, was found in Kechi Baig area of the provincial capital while a bullet-riddled body of a man was found in Mand area of Turbat district.
“A police team spotted the (child's) body in a drain and shifted it to the hospital,” Station House Officer (SHO) Kechi Baig Ashiq Khatak told The Express Tribune.

“The child went missing after his father had sent him to buy medicine from a nearby pharmacy,” the SHO added.
The other body was identified as Sadam Wali, resident of Nazarabad area, after a passer-by had spotted it and informed the Balochistan Levies, an official of the Levies said.
The deceased had suffered multiple bullet injuries, he added.
