Comfortable Trip: AC coaches for Pindi-Wah Cantt
Service is being launched under the special directives of CM Punjab to provide inexpensive, quality travel facilities
RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi Divisional Transport Authority (DTA) plans to launch an air-conditioned coach service from Rawalpindi to Wah Cantonment. The stops for the planned transport route are the Rawalpindi railway station and Barrier No. 3 in Wah Cantonment at a fixed fare of Rs17, according to a DTA official. The service will soon be inaugurated by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. The DTA has signed an agreement with a private transport company which will run 10 mini air-conditioned coaches, accommodating up to 30 passengers each on this route during the project’s first phase, the official shared. DTA Secretary Manzoor Tarar said the service is being launched under the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab to provide inexpensive, quality travel facilities to the citizens of Rawalpindi District.
