Sent packing: Anti-corruption officers shuffled
They had political affiliations, therefore, the chairperson has transferred them
KARACHI:
After taking charge of his department, the new chairperson of the anti-corruption department, Mumtaz Ali Shah, transferred around two dozen officers appointed on political grounds and sent packing those posted on deputation. “Around two dozen inspectors of the anti-corruption department working as circle officers were posted for a long time on the same positions and districts,” claimed a department official. “They had political affiliations, therefore, the chairperson has transferred them.”
