Public health: Report sought on fire safety at hospitals
The report stated that modern fire-fighting equipment was being installed at the hospitals

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued a notice on a petition seeking appropriate safety measures at hospitals. The judge ordered the government to submit until September 14 a report about fire-safety measures adopted at public hospitals. The judge had earlier observed that good health facilities, free education and clean drinking water were more important than roads. The health secretary had submitted a report saying that effective safety measures had been adopted at 97 public hospitals across the province. The report stated that modern fire-fighting equipment was being installed at the hospitals.
