ISLAMABAD:

One of the prime minister’s special aides on Sunday said the investors group in the ranks of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had put the PTI chief Imran Khan in a quandary.

In a statement, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani advised the PTI chairman to ‘accept his faults’ by showing ‘sportsmanship spirit’.

He also asked Imran Khan to divert his energies and attention towards progress and prosperity of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, where the PTI is in power.

“The reservations expressed by Imran Khan after acceptance of Judicial Inquiry Commission's report were beyond comprehension,” he said.

Dr Kirmani said the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had exhibited patience during the PTI's 126-day marathon sit-in in Islamabad. “In the similar spirit, the PTI chairman should also patiently wait for the general elections to be held in 2018,” he said.
