A large hunk of internet users think that the movie is creating an ideological disturbance and should be banned.

A recent trend #BollywoodPoisoningPak started on Twitter and now it appears to be transitioning into a call for boycott of Salman Khan’s Eid blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan breeding a new Twitter trend #BoycottSalmanKhanBanBB. As observed from the influx of tweets it can be said a large chunk of internet users think that the movie is creating an ideological disturbance and should be banned.

Here are is how the latest controversy sparked amid the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Some think that Indian movie, case in point Bajrangi Bhaijaan, spoil the image of Pakistan.

Pakistan comprises of more than 180 million people and if you Indians will continue to malign our country for the attacks which are being carried out with India's fund and support, you cannot expect Pakistanis to remain silent. Why not make movies on RSS activities in Gujarat for a change?

Its high time they stopped behaving like hypocrites and showed up the real face of terrorism. The Indian people are not naïve to misunderstand this. Also the true peace loving Pakistani people have noting to feel guilty since the movie relates to terror and not them. Indians are tired to see films like BB which always show the soft side of the people across the border to change the thinking on the Indian side but its terror strikes that demolishes this image in a second and the reality strikes.

If Pakistani media bans Indian posters from posting, Indians will stop visiting the sites, their web traffic will decrease along with decrease in ad revenue. Eventually media's sites will shutdown, just like the theaters.

saffi | 9 years ago | Reply yes its true that the media is giving a pessimist view of india and the real picure of india is the same,, but the role of media in cinemas have a different role firstly they make movies of hatered but know we can see a biggest example of p.k movie and the example of slman khan new movie... in this movie we can see there is a gd pic and a reality based pic of pakistan meant the picture is containig a bit non reality story but it is not against ous so the people of india and pakistan are being connected throuh these movies and also departing thriuh these movies ..in future we should make gd relations with every country for a gd future so we should take a step :)

We are committed to our country and will remain, we just don't want to spoil livelihood of thousands of people connected to Cinemas and Multiplexes unless government provide other opportunities. World is Global Village now... if you don't let it be released in Pakistan, people will watch it via internet. It is our own mentality which will boycott movies against Pakistan, for Example.. I haven't watched Baby even I got chance to watch it several times.

There is no point generalizing Salman Khan's role to all Indians, but at the same time, this guy has been shown a truth loving, Humanity first man. Lets appreciate, the director showed Kashmiris loving Pakistan and kissing its flag. Lets appreciate, the director showed many good humans in Pakistan (The molvi, Chand Nawab, Border force officer and at the end Investigation officer).

Pro Pakistani ..

When the question comes to art and entertainment their philosophy changes - you link it with politics. Why such double standard? Should we ban pakistani movies that's being released in india too? Bol released. Bin roye released in 75-110 screens in india. Should we boycott and ban those?

They also make anti india/indian army, anti hindu movies too eg. haider and pk. When Indian policy makers don't interfere in anti India content made by them why would they interfere in anti pakistan or pro pakistan movie? Chastising whole India (30 states and 7union ) for what a private citizen does in his personal life in mumbai for a living(make movies) is foolishly. No Indian or govt will feel bad or be bothered if you boycott the movie and the director earns less. The "story writer" of both movies you mention are different so the difference in thinking . The director only "directs" the script given to him. Indian artist like nusserudin shah, Nandita Sen, Sonu Nigam have also worked in pakistan industry. Pakistan has made remakes of award winning indian movie Arth, devdas etc. You don't find india complaining. When you can make movies like war so can any citizen in india make movies on 26/11 other events or movies like bhajrangi for a living. What has india got to do with it?

Dont look at fault everywhere.US Hollywood also make many film without naming nations but still they are watched by pakistani public.But ok let me accept pakistani public demand for once to ban Indian film for pakistan and pakist govt bans also,then what???? theaters will close and crast overnignt.Pakistan people will not have the choice to choose film where go 1st.Indian cinema are providing you to choose among many film which is a good thing but ban will make you wait and watch pakistan 2 or three in a year like this Eid some people says"you know i watched all 3 and enjoyed the weekend".These entertainment is valueless and banning Indian cinema will ruin your entertainment.Banning will take a second but inviting Bollywood Industry will be a uphill task after that.Better make choice before putting silly hastags.

pakistani | 9 years ago | Reply i watched Bangranji Bhajan and loved it but the next day saw the trailer of Phantom. Then to my surprise the two movies are created by the same director. What a hypocrisy ! If india want peace with Pakistan, they have to stop their double standard, you can't have bangrangi bhajan and then phantom and promote peace. it doesn't work that way. and by the way for Saif Ali Khan & Katrina Kaif, for their dialogue "Hum Ghar me Ghuss Kay Mariey Gien", Shame on you both. All we can say, Hum Thumhari Marien giyen, Eik Bar Border Kay is taraf to Aoo.
