Leena Sayed has finally addressed the controversy. The American model became a trending topic online after a clip of her went viral. In the video, Sayed was seen speaking to rapper Young Thug during a phone call while he was incarcerated. The clip sparked debate due to her expression of affection towards him. The video quickly gained attention, especially as Sayed shares a child with professional boxer Devin Haney.
Sayed clarified the situation by posting on her Instagram account. She explained that the video was from before she met Haney, 27. The full 15-minute conversation reportedly dates back to 2022, during Young Thug's incarceration on charges related to alleged gang activity. The viral snippet gave fans a glimpse of Sayed’s emotional state as she teared up, saying, “I don’t like anyone… I want you.”
Following the uproar, Young Thug attempted to distance himself from the situation and shared his perspective. In a post on X, he wrote, “Man me and twin was talking bout some whole other serious s–t. I don’t know y she spoke on loving other people or anything else cause ain giving no f–k bout no h–s or n—-s… Never have never will lol.”
In her own response, Sayed reiterated her position on Instagram, writing, “That video was before I met my bd. I would never talk to Thug or any other man.”
These statements from both Young Thug and Sayed appear to be efforts to protect their respective relationships. Mariah The Scientist has remained by Young Thug’s side throughout his legal troubles, while Sayed is reportedly pregnant with Haney’s child. The controversy has also brought attention to Sayed, who has largely stayed out of the spotlight within the boxing world.
