KARACHI:
Pakistan’s very own supermodel Nadia Hussain appears to be riding high on the success of her namesake beauty salon, launched in Karachi last year. Now, Nadia is gearing up for a visit to India in September, which she’s thrilled about. “The Shan-i-Pakistan exhibition is going take place in India and I’ve been approached to model for it. Besides, I will also be allotted a space on the exhibition floor.”
As for her salon, she says, “The business is going fine and steady, I would say.” She adds, “I’ve employed the very best of social media marketing tools to let everyone know about it. The salon has gained immense popularity.” The Nadia Hussain Salon is located at the heart of Karachi’s posh Clifton locality, offering a range of services to its customers.
“I’m planning on expanding our operations too,” said Nadia. “I’ve been approached to take the salon to Lahore, but am yet to figure out some feasibility issues. The expansion will be done in a proper manner whenever it may be.” The aim is to open up a branch in a popular location of the walled city. “Possibly MM Alam Road,” hints Nadia.

But while the salon has been receiving soaring business, Nadia’s clothing line NHPret has faltered. “My clothes have suffered a bit seeing how I’m unable to concentrate on them as much,” she said. The model-actor-entrepreneur is most often spotted either at her salon or out and about with her three children. “They [my children] are currently on summer break so I try to be home as much as I can these days,” shared Nadia. She was recently offered roles in popular Eid dramas and films, but has had to turn some of them down on account of her busy schedule. “Nothing is solid for now,” she said.
