Agriculture university: Former VC passes away

Yar Muhammad is recognised for his devotion and contribution towards the promotion of the university

PESHAWAR: The former vice chancellor of Agriculture University Peshawar, Yar Muhammad Khan, passed away Friday morning. He had also served as the ex-secretary of the forest department. Yar Muhammad is recognised for his devotion and contribution towards the promotion of the university. He was the first one to introduce IBMS in the university which has benefited thousands of students. As the forest secretary, he had introduced Focus Green Sarhad – the long-term model plan which was very well received by the people. He had been bestowed Tamgha-e-Quaid-e-Azam in 1968, Tamgha-e-Khidmat in 1971 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 1999 by the Government of Pakistan.
