Rising death rate: Naegleria claims another life
As many as 10 people have died in Karachi due to brain eating amoeba since April
KARACHI:
One more death caused by the brain-eating amoeba has been reported in the city, raising the death toll to 10 since April.
According to Naegleria Control Committee focal person Dr Zafar Mehdi, 25-year-old Ahmed was admitted at a private hospital for the past few days.

Sources said that the patient died during treatment on Wednesday, while the provincial health department was informed on Thursday.

Karachi Water and Sewerage Board officials will collect samples from the residential area of the deceased.
