Speeding kills: Four friends die, two injured in crash

Four friends died in a road accident on Sharae Faisal near Awami Markaz late on Wednesday night, while two are said to be in a critical condition.



Six friends were going on a picnic when their car first collided with the footpath and then hit a tree. All the injured were shifted to Jinnah  hospital. Three of them succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital while another died during treatment.


The deceased have been identified as Dilawar Hussain, 18, resident of Model Colony, Tanveer Hussain, 25, resident of Quaidabad, Salman Sabir, 17, and Muhammad Adnan, 25, residents of Malir Halt. Tanveer was driving and he lost control of the speeding car. Two of the injured, Arif and Muhammad Waqas, were also in a critical condition and were admitted in the intensive care unit of JPMC. The police believe that the car was a rental.
